I am a native born Californian. I was born in Northern California but have lived most of my life in Los Angeles. I have a B.S and M.S. in Biology from CSUN. In 1988 I earned a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology at UCLA. My wife, Rachel, is an R.N. at the Veterans's Adminstration Hospital in Los Angeles. I have done research in neurodegenerative diseases at both UCLA and USC. I presently teach Human Anatomy and Physiology at Los Angeles Trade-Technical College. I can see how poorly my students are served by a system that constantly claims that it will do everything for them and then performs so poorly at such a cost.

I've been a member of the Libertarian party since I was an undergraduate in college. I can be trusted to take care of my liberty, and you can be trusted to take care of yours, but other people cannot. And the people who claim loudly that they want power only to help us? They can be trusted least of all. In 2008 I agreed to run for Congress in order to offer voters a choice, a chance to vote for something different than the entrenched careerists of the the Republican and Democratic parties.
